
Milkweed or Butterfly weed [Asclepias] is a perennial, flowering plant.
Monarch larvae eat the leaves; butterflies will collect nectar from flowers, and lay their eggs on the plant. Commonly purple but also has varieties of white, yellow, orange, pink, and red.
